A Flavorful Twist on Classic Sausage Balls – Quick and Easy!
Equipment:
Kitchen-Aid Mixer
Parchment Paper
Rimmed Baking Sheet
Small Cookie Scoop
Medium Cookie Scoop
Ingredients:
1 lb hot sausage, uncooked
1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 (10-oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
1½ cups Bisquick
2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
Place all ingredients in the bowl of an electric stand mixer fitted with the dough hook attachment. Mix until well combined.
Scoop sausage mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment paper-lined rimmed baking sheet.
Bake for 18 – 20 minutes, or until brown.
Notes:
- Sausage balls can be frozen uncooked. If baking from frozen, add a few minutes to the baking time.
- Perfect for breakfast, brunch, lunch, appetizers at parties, and afternoon snacks. Make in advance and freeze for a quick snack later. Whip up a batch ASAP!
