Jägerkohl, also known as German Cabbage Stew, is absolutely delicious 🤤

2 cups cabbage, cut in 1 in pieces
1/2 onion, diced
1 russet potato, peeled, cut in 1 in pieces
5 slices bacon, chopped
1 link kielbasa
2 cups beef broth (I use Better Than Bouillon)
1/2 Ib ground beef
1/2 tsp browning liquid salt and pepper to taste 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
In a dutch oven over medium high heat add bacon and cook until cooked through. Remove and put aside.
Cook kielbasa until browned on each side and put aside. Add in ground beef and cook for a few minutes then add in onions.
Cook until meat is browned and onions are translucent.
Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add in cabbage, potatoes, broth and browning liquid. Cover and simmer for approximately 30 minutes until potatoes are soft.
Add back in bacon and kielbasa. Enjoy!
