STEAK & SHRIMP HOKKIEN NOODLES RECIPE

3/4 lb flank steak, cut in strips against the grain
10-12 shrimp, tail off and deveined
1 pack hokkien noodles (I used ka me brand)
1 cup broccoli, cut into bite sized pieces
1 shallot, quartered
2-3 tbsp vegetable or olive oil
Sauce:
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 tsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tbsp brown sugar
4 cloves garlic
1 tbsp cornstarch
Optional: red pepper flakes
Over medium high heat add oil. Cook steak on each side approximately 1 minute, until browned. Remove from pan. Add in shrimp and cook on each side 2-3 minutes, until they make a nice “c” shape. Put aside.
You may need to add more oil before adding in the shallot and broccoli. Cook them for approximately 4 minutes before adding in the sauce and noodles. (Depending on the brand of noodles you got you may need to soak them in hot water, etc before this step, read the package). Use tongs to break up the noodles. Allow sauce to thicken. Add steak and shrimp back to pan. Enjoy!
