CRISPY FRIED BRUSSELS SPROUTS RECIPE

1 Ib brussels sprouts, trimmed & cut in half
neutral oil for frying, like vegetable oil
wet batter:
1 cup ap flour
2 cups buttermilk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp chili powder
dry batter:
1 cup ap flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp tumeric
Toss prepped sprouts in wet batter, being sure to coat evenly.
Shake off excess batter and toss into dry batter, coating evenly. Fry in oil heated to 350 on each side until golden brown. Serve with ranch or favorite dipping sauce!
