On October 18, 2019, the plane was delivered to Etihad in Abu Dhabi, ahead of its first journey to Manchester Airport today. Omar Berrada, chief operating officer of Manchester City, Joleon Lescott, Karen Bardsley, and mascots welcomed the plane and its passengers with a welcome ceremony to commemorate the momentous occasion. On arrival, passengers on the inaugural flight received City-branded items.
